The sisters at Sisters grew up together in Northeast Thailand, or Esan Province. One sister spent most of her life in Nebraska as a businesswoman, including a Thai restaurant in Omaha. The other sister has been living in Germany for most of her life, with a successful restaurant in Hamburg. They re-united to bring authentic German, and Thai dishes to historic downtown Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

So scary you'll need to save... We hope everyone had fun during our most recent event, Trick or Treat on Main, yesterday! There were many fantastic and/or creative costumes this year; I even heard rumor that a small child was dressed as IT being pushed around in a wagon-turned-storm-drain...nightmares... Hello everyone! So, we've been a little busy, and haven't gotten around to updating you all on what we've been up to. To be honest, we've been just trying to keep up with you for the last few months, but we're finally getting some free time, WOO! That means, more frequent updates. We'll start with one that we're pretty proud of. One of the initiatives we've undertaken has made enough progress to start talking about. Starting in mid-2016, we decided to fundamentally rethink how we were doing things. Specifically, our impact on our economy and our world. This led to our internal pledge to purchase produce and supplies, as much as is feasible, from businesses as close to home as possible. Above all, we want to support American Small Business as much as we can. We will be publishing a list of goals that we have undertaken and update you on our progress to those ends. We believe it's chiefly important to preserve our natural resources, as well as our local and domestic productivity. To that end: what's up with this picture of a crab?... We have found a sustainable fishing practice in regards to Snow Crab - that tasty looking bugger in the photo (©Wikipedia) and have decided to bring some on board for a taste. We will have more details tomorrow, which is when we're anticipating our initial shipment to arrive. If it passes our quality requirements, we'll let you all try it out later this week! In time for Halloween, we've just received our last shipment from our favorite local farmer, Dave. We've got some fresh, spooky purple bell peppers! Woo! This is pretty much our favorite holiday!
Celebrating the kids being back in school It's that time again, and the chaos is over (in most districts, at least. We did try to wait out of respect for those starting later, but it's time to call it!). The children are occupied by homework, learning, and experiment.
